Marcus & Naomi Wallace
Campus and Teen Ministry Interns
Marcus leads the Campus and Teen Ministries. He grew up around the church for most of his life and comes from a strong family who are also disciples-Daryl and Ruby Wallace (his father and mothers) are deacons in the South Sound Church of Christ and his sister, Stephanie, is a teen worker for the Seattle Church of Christ. After being baptized as a junior in high school in ‘99, Marcus went on to be a part of the University of Washington (Seattle) Campus Ministry for his freshman of college and then was apart of the mission team that planted the Spokane Christian Church in Spokane, Washington, during the fall of 2002. As one of the seven students who helped start the Campus Ministry in Spokane, Marcus served as a bible talk leader and was instrumental in seeing the ministry grow from 7 to 35 disciples in three years.
After receiving a bachelor’s degree in History from Eastern Washington University in Cheney, Washington, in 2005, Marcus moved back to Seattle, Washington, to pursue a Master’s Degree in History at the University of Washington (Seattle). Towards the end of his first year of graduate school, Marcus decided to put his studies on hold to go into the full-time ministry. He has been a full-time intern in Tacoma, Washington, for almost three years. He was married to his wife Naomi in June 2007 and loves sports such as basketball and football and action films such as Gladiator (2000) and BraveHeart (1995).
Naomi Wallace has served as a Campus/Teen Ministry Intern for the South Sound Church of Christ since January of 2008. She received her BA from Pacific Lutheran University in 2006 in Economics, Spanish, and Global Studies. In addition to serving in the ministry, she also works part-time for Hope Worldwide as a site coordinator with the Mack Strong Teamworks Academy.
