Dana & Gingerla Perkins, Lead Evangelist & Women's Ministry Leader

Dana and Gingerla both are truly excited and feel blessed to have the opportunity to serve the congregation of the South Sound Church of Christ. They were both converted in the Washington D.C. Church of Christ in 1991. They have served in the ministry full time for 16 years with ministry experiences in the Greater Philadelphia Church of Christ, Hampton Roads Church of Christ in Virginia, Fort Wayne Church of Christ in Indiana and the Treasure Valley Church of Christ in Boise Idaho.

Throughout their experiences, they continuously have strong convictions about building a sense of family and creating an environment with the spirit of unity. Their mindset has always been one that was to go anywhere, do anything, and give up everything for the cause of Christ and they continue to live their lives dedicated to living for the Lord.

Dana is very passionate about preaching for the Lord, studying the bible with others, and counseling others spiritually in their walk with God. He believes that loving God, serving the body, and reaching out to a hurting world is what he’s been called to do.  Dana is a diehard sports fan and has coached varsity football and track and field for many years and has a special place in his heart for youth in the community.

Gin enjoys being a partner in the gospel with her husband Dana. She finds great joy in building relationships with the women she serves as well as training and counseling women. She enjoys spending time with the women in her ministry, time with her family, and cooking for anyone that would like to come over and enjoy her southern cuisine.  She has a deep sense of gratitude for all the blessings that God has demonstrated in her life, her family, and in the church!

Dana and Gingerla both are alumnus of Grambling State University where they met. They have been married for 25 years their children are: eldest daughter Dana (28), eldest son K-Sam (22) and daughter in law (Brittany Perkins-20), son Kyron (17), and their youngest daughter Kira (15)
